Cyprus Youth TO-GEt-THERe: Food Catalogue 08.07.2012

MAGEM, the Famagusta Youth Centre and Epilogi, the Limassol cultural movement, gather together in Limassol on 8 July 2012, in order to prepare and photograph food for the bicommunal food catalogue, part of the Cyprus Youth TO-GEt-THERe project. The photographs were taken by photographer Pavlos Vrionides who is also currently preparing the food catalogue, which will be released in the following months.

Cyprus Youth TO-GEt-THERe, a Youth Power Small Grants project 11.06.2012

Responding to the need for mainstream inter-communal dialogue and pan-Cypriot cooperation mechanisms on all levels of society, particularly among young people, the Famagusta youth centre, Magusa Genclik Merkezi (MAGEM) and Cultural Movement of Limassol EPILOGI have designed a number of joint inter-communal activities to be realized between May and August 2012. The activities include intercultural youth festivals, youth camps in rural areas, painting and photo sessions together with exhibitions, the creation of a traditional food catalogue and many opportunities for young people to come together in Limassol, Famagusta and Omodos. Graffiti for Peace, a Youth Power Small Grants project 09.06.2012

Cypriot Youth’s Perception of Peace and Reconciliation: An expression through the art of graffiti. A Youth Power Small Grants project.   Description: At the buffer zone, a bicommunal project which is indented to use the art of graffiti as a means for the reconciliation and Peace will take place in June. The art of graffiti often has the reputation of being part of a subculture that rebels use against authority. In this project the art of graffiti and its ‘rebellious’ nature, will be employed in order to disseminate ideas and messages about peace and reconciliation. In the project are invited to participate young people (over 16 years old) coming from Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities. Youth Power Announces Small Grants Winners 18.05.2012

Youth Power is proud to announce the 3 bicommunal projects awarded funding through the Youth Power Small Grants initiative.
