New Skills Workshops (01.06.2013)

Youth Power is offering 5 topics at the skills workshops for the young people of Cyprus on Saturday 1 June,10:00 – 18:00 at Home for Cooperation. Phaedon Zacharoudes offers Building Up Core Communication Strategy and Branding & Communications, Selen Mesutoglu Altan offers Influencing Techniques, Conflict Management and George İsaias from Synthesis Consulting offers Funding for Entrepreneurs. All workshops will be held in English at the Home for Cooperation in the Ledra Palace Buffer Zone, Nicosia.

 

Trainers Selen Mesutoglu Altan and Phaedon Zaharoudes, who are also the communication consultants of Youth Power, stated that the aim is to assist passionate young individuals develop skills in the mentioned subjects and become more competitive.

 

The schedule of the training is as follows: 10.00-10.30: Arrival and coffee 10.30-12.30: Building Up Your Core Communications Strategy, Branding & Communication 12.30-13.30: Lunch

13.30-15.30: Influencing Techniques & Conflict Management, 15.30-16.00: Coffee break

16.00-18.00: Funding for entrepreneurs.

 

Participants completing the training will receive a certificate. Because of the limited places, interested individuals have to register by sending an email to [email protected].

 

 Phaedon holds a degree in Audiovisual Communications from IED Communicazione in Milan, a qualification in Cultural Management awarded by MitOst e.V in Berlin, and is an Adobe Certified Associate. He works with NGOs and individuals as Communications Consultant, Media Developer and Media Trainer and has given numerous workshops in Communications and New Media. He is also a Visual Artist, a Filmmaker, as well as an award winning Writer. Altan holds an MSc degree in Corporate Communications and Reputation Management from the University of Manchester and BSJ degree in Strategic Communications and BFA degree in Graphic Design degrees from the University of Kansas. Altan has experience as a Communication Consultant at NGOs, Public and Private sectors in addition to working as a communication and SME expert in internationally funded projects.  Inspired by Muhammad Yunus and the social entrepreneurship movement, George Isaias is working to develop and promote social entrepreneurship in Cyprus, where he resides, through research, training, and inspirational speaking. He holds a MA degree on Government and Politics and a BSc degree on Business Administration.
